It was odd. Mere non-association with religion wasn't enough. He wanted to experience a world, a life where religion simply did not exist. The truth was, he was simply too tired of thinking, contradicting, judging & hearing the endless religious echoes from all around.
He projected his bubble of fantasy around him and realized he was probably closest to happiness in this bubble than ever before. If only the bubble wasn't just some fleeting thought of an idealistic man. If only it was easy to hold on to the bubble.

if not religion then something else.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy a ticket to this world, though. Without thinking twice.
I do wonder though, a world where religion never was is also possibly not the happy enlightened place one would envision. If there was no religion, ever, we are also likely to witness chaos & possible disintegration and non-existence of society. But if religion suddenly stopped existing now ... that's a different story.
