The Escape

The moment of escape was not only near but also much needed. He looked around and found the one door he knew would lead him out. Through that came a corridor and another door. This door opened to yet another corridor and hence followed a chain of doors until he reached the door which was bound to be the last one.

He stepped through, expecting the unknown but instead was drowned by a sad familiarity. It took him a moment to realize that he was back where he had started.
